Workshop at the University of Leuven
The University of Leuven in Belgium and YLNM member CATAPA will be hosting a workshop on the 12th of March on the negative impacts of mining. The presentations and workshop will bring together academics and thinkers (scientists, humanists, lawyers and others) to examine the negative impacts of mining and then provide recommendations for further interdisciplinary research and explore funding opportunities. It promises to be an exciting opportunity to learn and share knowledge with a diverse range of researchers.
All academics and thinkers should consider submitting an abstract and then presenting their research at the workshop, although you do not need to be presenting in order to participate in the workshop. The deadline for 300-word presentation abstracts is the 15th of February, and a €25 administration fee applies for participation in any capacity. For a full explanation of the workshop, as well as indications of the kinds of research presentations sought, see the full event listing at Generatie Transitie or download the flyer and information here.
